Homecoming Lyrics

The spell is broken
Masked in rituals to capture the sun
Bloodletting
Monuments of guilt
If I had one wish, I'd stop all the clocks
Within me, the spell is broken

We all are still alive
We radiate

Breathe now
It's in the wind that we give and we take
They never really have us if we just keep breathing

Breathe now
It's in the wind that we give and we take
They never really have us if we just keep breathing

I have seen them
Within me the spell is broken

Home
At last...
Homecoming at last
Now feel what is unseen
Within me, the spell is broken

Ryan Morgan is an anarcho-primitivist, so most of his songs are about living in industrial civilization and experiencing its inevitable collapse. It might be subtle, but when you view it from an anti-civilization angle the lyrics make much more sense IMHO.

I think he's finally found himself. Mirrors is obviously about creating yourself and living your own life and this song shows that he has succeeded and it was so worth it.

"They never really have us if we just keep breathing" - No one can stop us if we just keep pushing on.

"Within me, the spell is broken"- He's finally free.

just a guess

To me it seems like this album is telling a story, almost like a concept album. At the beginning we see the speaker turning his back on God and his faith and throughout the album it is reiterated and shown in different lights and with different emotions. Then at the end the speaker finally comes back to God and again feels what is unseen. He now feels back at home, and the "spell" (his doubt) is broken.

At least, that's my interpretation.

this song and reset are like one big song. in reset, he struggles with keeping control of lifes burdens, and he just wants to give up. in this song, he finally breaks free from the illusion. in reset the lyric mentions "nothing here is real" i think he meant that life is deceiving, and that all the pain he's created is self created, as all pain is. i think he's saying in our truest state, we are free from all pain and suffering, and its just pure joy. he finally finds that when he says "withint me the spell is broken" like the illusion of pain is finally dispersed. he's finally free.
