You have to lose your center of gravity to appreciate how much fun it was to have control over your gravity. To have fun that wasn't because of a drink. Stop drinking start skating. Thrashing it up is better than getting trashed. Stop drinking, start skating. You won't black out as much and your memories will last. I'd been drunk for a year and a half and I barely stepped on a board. If I tried to tell you what I'd done, you'd be so completely bored. And now I'm longing just to drop in, I don't think I care anymore about the moves, I miss the fun, I miss the friends. I miss doing things that didn't set me up to lose.

I wrote this the last night that I lived in Pennsylvania. I was planning on drinking a 40 and hanging out with some dudes. Then one of them brought out his skateboard. I hadn't skated in years and I tried to show them some of my old moves. Having imbibed much of the 40, I was unable. I then made a resolution to drink less and skate more.
