The meaning's pretty self-explainable.
I think he's talking about finally meeting his ideal partner, and he's just so overwhelmed by them. But he's also aware that there's a chance that they might not work out so he's trying not to get his hopes up by just taking things as they come.

This song is indeed pretty understandable and relatable. But that's what makes Chase Coy so special. He's not some guy trying to make some song with lyrics no one understands that have to do with nothing. He's a simple guy writing about what he feels. Absolutely amazing.
Basically, he has just started out with this girl. He really doesn't know if it will last, but he hopes it will. He feels lucky to have her. He can't stop thinking about her, no matter what he does. He longs to be with her all the time. She is the one who brightens his world.
