Now I Love Someone Lyrics

Old lock, old door
Old yard, overgrown
I'm up, up and gone
So long, so long
For now I love someone
Our love is a song
That we sing, that's been sung
By our parents and their parents
They swear it and we swear it now
Now we love someone

We both bellow "Hello!"
We both bellow "Hello"

I don't want no "I guess sos"
Just yeses or instead so long, so long
And you don't love no one
Because my wins are your wins
In the sleet, in the spring
And your losses are my losses when you're opposite me only
Now we love somebody

We both bellow "Hello!"
We both bellow "Hello! How are you? How are you? Hello!"

This is such a beautiful song, it's a shame not many people know that it's by Holly Throsby, it's just "the insurance ad" song here.

So beautiful.

The guitar opening seems like it was ripped off Devendra Banhart's "This Is The Way" (2004).

Now I love someone. Like those young families you see in insurance ads haha. It came out of nowhere. No it didn't, it's a huge, beautiful tree that grew from a small, delicate seed that she planted just over a year ago on Messenger. It fills my chest up with authentic, time-consuming love and makes me want to cry about dreams past and future.
