Whoring Streets Lyrics
Is there anybody here who hears me
Crying? I'm dying
Is there anybody here,
When it's over? Over
I'm just passin' the time, wonderin'
How you people will ever survive whor-
Ing down your whoring streets, killing
You while you're killing me
It's time, to show all you people
You'll never survive
Whoring down your whoring street
Killing you while you're killing me.
Is there anybody here who hears me
Crying? I'm dying
Is there anybody here,
When it's over? Over
I'm just passin' the time, wonderin'
How you people will ever survive whor-
Ing down your whoring streets, killing
You while you're killing me
It's time, to show all you people
You'll never survive
Whoring down your whoring street
Killing you while you're killing me.
Killing you while you're killing me.
Whoring down your whoring street
Killing you while you're killing me.
Is there anybody here who hears me
Crying? I'm dying
Crying? I'm dying
When it's over? Over
How you people will ever survive whor-
Ing down your whoring streets, killing
You while you're killing me
You'll never survive
Killing you while you're killing me.
Crying? I'm dying
When it's over? Over
How you people will ever survive whor-
Ing down your whoring streets, killing
You while you're killing me
You'll never survive
Killing you while you're killing me.
Killing you while you're killing me.
Crying? I'm dying

This song, to me, is about depression and relationship struggles.
the song goes in chronological order of you're assumptions when depressed.
"Is there anybody here Who hears me crying? I'm dying."
Thats pretty self explanatory towards my idea..."is there anybody here who hears me crying" Usually not when you're depressed. "I'm dying" Sums up depression
"Is there anybody here When it's over?"
fearful of losing everyone because of a mood that people usually see as moody over depression. cutting people off, so-on
"Over?"
Is it going to end?
The rest of the song is debatable on subject but keeping in mind what i previously said :
I'm just passing the time Wondering how you people will ever survive Whoring down your whoring streets
Disgusted by what used to be alright
Killing you while you're killing me
His actions are hurting others while their ignorance(maybe) is hurting him
just a thought
Yeah... One more song in Daron's style. It's all about the Hollywood, like "Lost Hollywood" ("All your bitches put your hand in the air"), and about our dying society in those stupid style "i'm so cool man, and i know what your, blind motherfuckers, can't see". But I like it=))))
this whole album is screaming apocolypse
lol, this whole album does scream apocolypse
Yeah I agree, this album is very apocolyptic.
"Is there anybody here, who hears me crying? Im dying."
"Killing you while your killing me. Its time, to show all you people you'll never survive."
Killing you while you're killing me - just a tought - AIDS? ( infected whores ) umm... nooo
Is anyone, besides me, reminded of the beatles' "while my guitar gently weeps" from this song? "look at you all, see the love there that's sleeping, while my guitar gently weeps" sort of reminds me of "Is there anybody here who hears me crying?"
Ichigo900, I think you may be on to something. I've read somewhere that when Daron was 17 he took some interest in the Beatles, so it's very possible that he got some of his inspiration from them.
I think that it is like "Lost in Hollywood" And this album shows that Daron and Serj definately had different views on the end of the world. I think Daron thinks that the end of the world is going to come from an outside person or object while Serj thinks it will come from the people themselves as they continue to live and destroy their lives and the world around them. (just a thought)
But this, to me, says that the more we live like lost people, the more we destroy ourselves and those around us. (one point where it seems like him and Serj agree)
Anyway, Daron is a very talented musician and I really appreciate this album. No matter the meaning, he has a way of grabbing your soul with the music and his voice. I really like Scars on Broadway.
has anyone seen what daron looks like at this point? dude looks like hes been crawling around iraq..im not saying this to be a racist idiot im just saying i think these songs are way deeper..i really believe this song is being narrated in the eyes of a terrorist..more specific maybe one of the terrorists getting ready to slam into one of the towers on 911..it carries the very judgemental muslim attitude when it talks of "whoring streets" and that the terrorist is sort of bitter about the fact that he has to die to show all the "whores" (americans) that the way we live is wrong and that even though he will be did once he does his deed so will so many of the "whores"
Interesting analysis, I like it.
Interesting analysis, I like it.
I love this song it makes perfect sense. When are people gonna start to give a crap about people other than themselves eh? When are people gonna stop livin for instant pleasures, and gonna realize the people who cared about them they neglected..? Is there anybody here who hears me cryin, I'm dyin..
