Enemy Lyrics
I know it's really hard to see
That we are the enemy
I know it's really hard to see
That we are the enemy of the earth
They'll fuck you, then they'll fuck themselves
They raise the flag that Jesus sells
They'll fuck you, then they'll fuck themselves
They raise the flag that Jesus sells
I know it's really hard to see
That we are the enemy
I know it's really hard to see
That we are the enemy of the earth
We're on drugs, we're on drugs
We're all on drugs
We're on drugs, we're on drugs
Baby, we're all on drugs
Do you like drugs?
Alright!
I know it's really hard to see
That we are the enemy
I know it's really hard to see
That we are the enemy of the earth
We are the enemy of the earth...
We are the enemy of the earth...
That we are the enemy
I know it's really hard to see
That we are the enemy of the earth
They raise the flag that Jesus sells
They'll fuck you, then they'll fuck themselves
They raise the flag that Jesus sells
That we are the enemy
I know it's really hard to see
That we are the enemy of the earth
We're all on drugs
We're on drugs, we're on drugs
Baby, we're all on drugs
That we are the enemy
I know it's really hard to see
That we are the enemy of the earth
We are the enemy of the earth...
We are the enemy of the earth...

American's think that they live in the greatest country on Earth! The rest of the world is getting so fed up with our policing of the world that we are the ememy.
Antidepressants, alcohol, prescription medication television; people take these drugs every day and they alter your perception.
I'm surprised no one's said anything about "enemy of the earth" having to do with environmental issues, it's a possibility.

When I hear the part about drugs, it makes me think of how we are all constantly on drugs, even the drugs produced by our bodies that trigger emotions and such. They still alter our perceptions like any other drug, and it is so easy to get caught up in something like anger and not see what there is to see.

A bit of info about the we're on drugs part, that was something system used to do live. I like how daron explains little things about system in these songs, like in 3005 when he's saying jesus and charles manson are nice, he said jesus and lucifer are lovely in one of the CD booklets, and I guess this song is kind of the expanded version of the "we're on drugs" bit.
Either saying that America isn't so great like America thinks, or he's talking about people all over the world, & us thinking we're great, which is a lie so we must be on drugs
the enemy to the world is us, and when they fuck us and fuck themselves, i think thats government corruption and backstabbing, the drugs part is anything from the soccer mom on antidepressants to the kid in his basement getting stoned all just to get away from the fact that our worst enemy is ourseleves and greed
How stupid a person must be to take ANY KIND of drugs or MEDICATION(except sometimes ofc), and those V-CHIPS - I mean what kind of a sick person can implant that into himself or his child ---I would personally kill each and every one that doesn't share my opinion!
And uh... meaning - we are the enemy of the earth part explains all
IT IS REALLY HARD TO SEE OURSELVES LIKE THE ENEMY OF THE EARRTH ISNT IT?
i like how the song starts out [musicwise] but i didnt like how daron sounded in this song.
Well it's saying we're the enemy of the earth then, I think, giving two types of people that are the main root of it all: The first are the people who fight/kill each other, most likely in war, and believe it's okay because they're fighting for Jesus... The second is everyone who just sit's back and doesn't do anything about it 'cos their too f*cked up on drugs, or something else, to care... Does that sound about right?
I think this song is slightly sarcastic, and I believe it is about Americans thinking we are the best in the world...but I also think it can blow up into a bigger picture saying that the whole human race is the enemy of the earth.
"I know it's really hard to see That we are the enemy"
That part seems sarcastic because the human race is so egotistical and it's hard for us to see how anything could be our enemies.
The "we're on drugs" part seems to go along with what kurtdyoung says. In some way, we are all on drugs. It doesn't have to be the illegal kind or narcotics, just at one point in our lives we've had to take some kind of pill or herb to heal us, which, in this song, seems to alter our perceptions. Like brainwashing. You know? (I'm not really 100% sure on this one though)
This is a really great song...somehow it gets stuck in my head all day and i keep singing the "we're on drugs" part to myself. hehe great song.
the only thing im going to point out because i think people have got the point is that its "They raise the flag that Jesus held" i think
