Flash of the Blade (Iron Maiden cover) Lyrics
As a young boy chasing dragons with your wooden sword so mighty,
You're St. George or you're David and you always killed the beast.
Times change very quickly,
and you had to grow up early,
A house in smoking ruins and the bodies at your feet.
You'll die as you lived
In a flash of the blade,
In a corner forgotten away.
You llived for the touch
For the feel of the steel
One man, and his honour.
The smell of resined leather
The stickl iron mask
As you cut and thrust and parried at the fencing master's call.
He taught you all he knew
To fear no mortal man
and now you'll wreak your vengeance in the
Screams of evil men.
You'll die as you lived
In a flash of the blade,
In a corner forgotten by away.
You llived for the touch
For the feel of the steel
One man, and his honour.
You'll die as you lived
In a flash of the blade,
In a corner forgotten away.
You llived for the touch
For the feel of the steel
One man, and his honour.
You'll die as you lived
In a flash of the blade,
In a corner forgotten away.
You llived for the touch
For the feel of the steel
One man, and his honour.
You're St. George or you're David and you always killed the beast.
Times change very quickly,
and you had to grow up early,
A house in smoking ruins and the bodies at your feet.
In a flash of the blade,
In a corner forgotten away.
You llived for the touch
For the feel of the steel
One man, and his honour.
The stickl iron mask
As you cut and thrust and parried at the fencing master's call.
He taught you all he knew

and now you'll wreak your vengeance in the
Screams of evil men.
In a flash of the blade,
In a corner forgotten by away.
You llived for the touch
For the feel of the steel
One man, and his honour.
In a flash of the blade,
In a corner forgotten away.
You llived for the touch
For the feel of the steel
One man, and his honour.
In a flash of the blade,
In a corner forgotten away.
You llived for the touch
For the feel of the steel
One man, and his honour.

they did an ok job on this cover, i wish they would have done an awesome solo and mixed it up a little bit, but the vocals were good, but the lyrics they sang were wrong from what i hear, its supposed to be "in a corner forgotten by no one" and "the steely iron mask" but what the lyrics say here is what it sounds like theyre saying
Haha yeah they did alright. Then when they do the back up vocals it sounds absolutely ridiculous but hey, the rest of the song isn't bad at all.
If I was a band, I would be scared to let Avenged Sevenfold do a cover of my songs. Yeah, the bands they cover are legends but they do so good it's like they wrote the song themselves. God, I love them. :]
Walk was better though.
Aw, I love Jimmy's backing vocals on this song. (then again, i pretty much love anything jimmy sings hah)
Unfortunately, I've not heard the original, but I think this cover is alright. Nothing amazing, but it's decent.
not one of their better songs but still a decent song.
i love this song, go die in a hole Johng123!! jk its all good. i guess its cuz i love maiden
They made an Iron Maiden song sound like Dragonforce. Way to go A7X, you ruined this once-awesome song.
