Outrage Lyrics
I'll take the blame for you for taking one chance away from me at getting over this
And what you were to me, your work is done, I'm laughing, after all we're getting too old for this and
What a pretty night, what a pretty night,
You finally fit into my shoes, I'm never dressed for the occasional
Invasion of surprises, I don't get surprised
You think your secret's safe with you, I'll catch it swinging through the grapevine
It's time I let you go,
And here's looking at you kid
Your last word comes out slower than you thought it would
Its all you ever wanted but
You couldn't see me coming with the lights out,
You're gonna find out
I'll leave you raining on your own parade
Gung ho you let your guard down, you're nothing but a write-out,
I'll leave you raining on your own parade
I'm taking shame with you for taking 2, too many years that could have lasted now we'll never get back
But tonight the moon will set the mood, I'm a train routed off course just to keep on track and
What a petty crime, what a petty crime, How could you be anything but greedy when its all that you know
Give another try, give another try,
But if you're one for the money than you're too good to show on time
I let you down,
And here's looking at you kid
Now that I found and caught you red- handed I'm the last man standing 'cuz
You couldn't see me coming with the lights out,
You're gonna find out
I'll leave you raining on your own parade
Gung ho, you let your guard down, you're nothing but a write-out,
I'll leave you raining on your own parade
Take my goodbyes with love and meaningful lyrics
I got you this time, I got you this time
A closing line unannounced and breaking your spirits
A curtain call cry, I got you this time, I got you this time
It's happened all before with you the one to call it short but girl when I say that it's over than its over for good
We're nothing now but history, I'll leave you reminiscing in a diary regretting paying dues
You couldn't see me coming with the lights out,
You're gonna find out
I'll leave you raining on your own parade
Gung ho, you let your guard down, you're nothing but a write-out,
I'll leave you raining on your own parade
You couldn't see me coming with the lights out, soon your gonna find that I'll take you out,

No no no... ive finally figured out what this song is talking about. And my theory is that all or most of Capital lights's songs have historical meanings just like in the Song Frank Morris (which is really about Morris escaping from Alcatraz, just google his name) anyways This song (outrage) has got to be about the classic movie "Casa Blanca" and if you've seen the movie you would know that the main character is always saying "heres looking at you kid" this and other instances in the song lyrics match up pretty darn close to the story plot in the movie Casa Blanca. And if you've never seen the movie i suggest you go and see it cause its a great movie in the first place. anyways my conclusion isnt set in stone so if you have a better meaning that you've come up with id be glad to hear it.. just comment!
ok, so after he says "i'll leave you raining on your own parade" does he say "gung ho", or "come whore"? i've seen both on different lyrics sites. i don't have the cd booklet, and i know it says it in there
it's gung ho, Capital lights is a Christian band...

hahah. i just love this song. it makes me wanna dance. :] not sure on the meaning, though.
I'm pretty sure it's 'gung ho'.
This song is my favorite song ever! Yeah, when he's singing without music, you can hear him say 'gung ho' I thought it meant he was saying you can act like that, but you'll end up hurting yourself.
this band sounds neat but every song is about a breaking up with his girlfriend and nothing about God. so much for the christian label
being on a Christian label doesn't mean you talk about God all the time.

this song is so cuteeee. i absolutely LOVE ittt!!
does anyone else think that his voice sounds just a LITTLE like billy form green day? like, especially in the chorus.
just sayin'.
I heard this song on the radio this morning, and I have to say I love it. In answer to xbrokensoundsx's question, I thought it was Fall Out Boy.
its about a girl thats...greedy...and selfish...and...he dumped her?? i dont really know/care. the word play is so good i can barely control myself.
