Chicken Fried Lyrics
You know I like my chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
Well I was raised up beneath the shade of a Georgia pine
And that's home you know
With sweet tea, pecan pie and homemade wine
Where the peaches grow
And my house it's not much to talk about
But it's filled with love that's grown in southern ground
And a little bit of chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the the sun rise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love
And its funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most
Not where you live, what you drive or the price tag on your clothes
There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind; this I've come to know
So if you agree have a drink with me
Raise your glasses for a toast
To a little bit of chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the the sun rise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love
I thank god for my life
And for the stars and stripes
May freedom forever fly, let it ring.
Salute the ones who died
And the ones that gave their lives so we don't have to sacrifice
All the things we love
Like our chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the the sun rise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love

amymonkey....your an idiot!
i love this song man everybody loves this song its an amazing song great lerics and the meaning of it is just perfect man
So I'm not much of a fan of this song. The first time I heard it I laughed. Although I sing along every time it comes on. Its just so catchy!! What it's about? I'd say about loving the small things in life. And then it seems it randomly throws in Patriotism. Loving your soldiers and country, and thanking them for giving us freedom.
Doesn't randomly throw in patriotism at all. Our military has given us the freedom to do all the things we love to do.

Amymonkey, they are just talking about how the people overseas are fighting for our freedom to enjoy all the littl things. Like a sunrise, or a child. Or chicken, as silly as it sounds.
Just like they are over there fighting for your freedom to make stupid comments.
PS: I do like how the advertisement at the bottom of this page is for Tyson Chicken Nuggets! LOL
amymonkey you are just taking his point in the wrong light. he is thinking them for everything, even the little things in our lives that we are priveleged enough to have but take for granted. zac brown must be a republican, don't ya think?
This song is soooo silly. But SOOO catchy! I'm alwaays singing it. And dancing everytime it comes on. Which is why I always put it on when I'm cooking, haha! (:

dude, it's definitely about appreciating all the small stuff and not taking it for granted--i mean i know that i definitely appreciate a cold beer on a friday night. and i love how he brings in patriotism into the song, i get chills everytime i hear it.
he is saying that it is because of our soldiers that we can enjoy all the small things in life, amymonkey you dumbass. not just for f-ing fried chicken, that is just a small thing that he enjoys
The meaning is pretty obvious.
This is one of the only country songs I know of that it's fun to sing and dance to!
