Catchy song! I think it's either about a guy who wants his girlfriend to have sex with him cause he wants her so badly. Or it's about a guy who knows a girl he is infatuated with and wants her to agree to date him.
I think it's more likely he wants sex though, cause it goes "let it go", "it feels like we're running out of time" - he will leave her if she doesn't sleep with him cause his desire is driving him insane.
