Golden Hair Lyrics
Lean out your window, golden hair
I heard you singing in the midnight air
my book is closed, I read no more
watching the fire dance, on the floor
I've left my book, I've left my room
For I heard you singing through the gloom
singing and singing, a merry air
lean out the window, golden hair...
I heard you singing in the midnight air
my book is closed, I read no more
watching the fire dance, on the floor
I've left my book, I've left my room
singing and singing, a merry air
lean out the window, golden hair...

I'm not 100% sure on this but i believe this is a cover off of Pink Floyd's version. the song is really haunting and it plays in perfectly into the soundtrack for the movie "Mysterious Skin".
the original song was actually off of syd barrett's solo album, the madcap laughs. also, the lyrics are from a james joyce poem, although i can't remember what it was called originally.
i just love how it's only really a cover for the first minute or two, and then changes into a completely different and utterly beautiful slowdive song for the rest.
