this song is one of the best on avalon. i think its abouta dying relationship and one person in the relationship is living in the past, he is just wishing she would stop because its dragging them down and making it harder to try and make things work. and overall he just never wanted things to become the way they have between the two, but he knows if it doesnt end now that she is going to end up hating him, or they will end up hating each other. and they have become these two people that they never used to be, if they dont leave each other they will never be able to salvage anything from the relationship. its really sad but i think its just really knowing your boundaries, what you can and cannot take, and when you should call it a day, and take what you can from what you've learned. a bittersweet lesson that everyone has to learn eventually.
