Inside A Boy Lyrics
Inside a boy
I found a universe
And in his eyes
Are a thousand stars
On a dark sky
We are clouds
We are whispers
Like fawns and shape-shifters
Our edges can never be found out
No, our edges keep moving further out
We are stars colliding
Now we crash
Like lightning into love
Love
In his arms
I’m unwinding
Under his kiss
I'm falling into love
We are stars colliding
Now we crash
Like lightning into love
We are stars colliding
Now we crash
Like lightning into love
Love
Love, love
Love, love, love, love, love
I found a universe
And in his eyes
Are a thousand stars
On a dark sky
We are whispers
Like fawns and shape-shifters
Our edges can never be found out
No, our edges keep moving further out
Now we crash
Like lightning into love
Love
I’m unwinding
Under his kiss
I'm falling into love
Now we crash
Like lightning into love
Now we crash
Like lightning into love
Love
Love, love, love, love, love

Damn...beat me to it.
Best song off the new album, easily.
The meaning is rather obvious.
Wow.
"We are clouds, we are whispers like fawns and shape-shifters Our edges can never be found out. No, our edges keep moving further out"
Man. This part...... man.
I think the choice of wording here is perfect! "We are stars colliding and we crash like lightening into love" -UGH! I've only really loved two people in my life..but that is soo true- the feeling of lightening- a feeling so powerful that it just overwhelms you both- you seem forever changed by said "crash." Also, that intensity of falling into someones eyes. If you have every felt like that..then you understand what I'm talking about- so cute ;). This song is incredible. She is great with lyrics!
I haven't heard this song yet, but this line - 'Like fawns and shape-shifters' is very interesting to note because right now, Shara is touring with The Decemberists, whose recent album has a storyline involving a man who can shape-shift into a fawn. It'd be so cool if she influenced Colin Meloy, or he, her.
i totally caught that too, blue.painted.tears... i was wondering if anyone else did. i dont know if it was a reference to the album, but considering the decemberists album came out like a year after this one did, it doesnt seem likely. its interesting.
I definitely got the Hazards of Love reference, bit disappointed someone's got there before me haha. The Hazards of Love is based on a folk tale I think, thats the kinda thing Mr Meloy's into, anyway. I reckon Shara Worden and him have pretty similar influences, which is pretty cool. Anyway, her input on the album was incredible.
are we sure that it is 'fawns' and not 'fauns'??
