Trouble Is Lyrics
It came as no surprise
The calm of the first one
Made me realize
The different ways to have fun
Red hair, blue eyes
That caught me by surprise
She’s young and new
I am so confused
Don’t know what to do…
Baby girl you’re dancin all over my heart
And you know it feels so damn good
The trouble is we’ll never go that far
But we’ve gone much farther than we should
I drink wine to cleanse my mind, try to get to know her
She’s fun when she’s done
But she kisses better when she’s sober
Been taking naps a noon
But somehow the nights are over way too soon
I turn her on, she off and so long
Baby girl you’re dancing all over my heart
And you know it feels so damn good
The trouble is we’ll never go that far
But we’ve gone much farther than we should
The calm of the first one
Made me realize
The different ways to have fun
That caught me by surprise
She’s young and new
I am so confused
And you know it feels so damn good
The trouble is we’ll never go that far
But we’ve gone much farther than we should
She’s fun when she’s done
But she kisses better when she’s sober
Been taking naps a noon
But somehow the nights are over way too soon
I turn her on, she off and so long
And you know it feels so damn good
The trouble is we’ll never go that far
But we’ve gone much farther than we should

This reminds me of the times when you meet a girl that's outside of your typical social circle...different set of friends, leisure activities, even interests...but there's something about the girl that intrigues you so much that you give it a go. You even alter your typical schedule (naps at noon, to be ready for a full night) so that you can take advantage of every moment with that person. Problem, or 'trouble', is that it's more of a honeymooning vacation period since you've altered your normal existence so much just to get your kicks...You come to this realization, as the lyric says 'But we've gone much further than we should'. No regrets, other than knowing that it has to end.
