Hollywood Lyrics
The way we're living makes no sense
Take me back to the age of innocence
I wanna go back then
Take me back to the age of innocence
Back to the age of innocence
When fights were fixed by lies in books
When singers wrote songs instead of hooks
When the value wasn't in the price
When the fight for life was in the civil rights
When you couldn't live life through a screen
When everything you knew
Was as good as it seems
When the only worry was the concept of sin
When did it begin?
I wonder if I could
Go back to old Hollywood
When presidents dropped blonde bombshells
Instead of creating the perfect hell
The way we're living makes no sense
Take me back to the age of innocence
I wanna go back then
Take me back to the age of innocence
Back to the age of innocence
When pharmaceuticals were there
To make life beautiful
When the way that we were born
Was more than suitable
When everybody thought
They could make a difference
And you couldn't get your fix within an instant
I wonder if I could
Go back to old Hollywood
When presidents dropped blonde bombshells
Instead of creating their lies to tell
The way we're living makes no sense
Take me back to the age of innocence
I wanna go back then
Take me back to the age of innocence
Back to the age of innocence
I wanna get older
Don't fight my age
Now take me back to those simpler days
I wonder how it all happened
I wanna get older
Don't fight my age
Don't wanna be the page of a scalpel's blade
So please tell me, please tell me
What ever happened, happened?
I wonder if I could
Go back to old Hollywood
When presidents dropped blonde bombshells
Instead of creating their lies to tell
The way we're living makes no sense
Take me back, take me back
To the age of innocence
I wanna go back then
Take me back, take me back
To the age of innocence
Back to the age of innocence
I wanna get older
Don't fight my age
Now take me back to those simpler days
I wonder how it all happened
I wanna get older
Don't fight my age
Don't wanna be the page on the scalpel's blade
So please tell me, please tell me
Whatever happened, happened?
Take me back to the age of innocence
I wanna go back then
Take me back to the age of innocence

It's
When fights were fixed by lies in books
and
I wonder if I could Go back to old Hollywood When presidents dropped blonde bombshells Instead of creating the perfect hell
I'm pretty sure it says:
When everybody thought they could make a difference And you couldn't get your pics within an instance
and it should be "when everybody thought they could make a difference and you couldn't get your FIX within an instant."
like fix as in drugs, etc?
Don't wanna be the page of a scalpel's blade
its actually
Don't wanna be the PREY TO THE scalpel's blade
it says it in the booklet of the cd.
i think this is my favorite song from rotation. and i think it's 'when presidents dropped BON-BON shells' like the candy. i dunno, but it kinda makes more sense to me. ciwwaf..a political band. i freaking love it. haha.
wow, i really like this song. :) a possibility for a fave on rotation so far.
ohh, and i think "Instead of creating their lives to hell" is "Instead of creating their lies to tell"
yeah, it's instead of creating their lies to tell.
i really really love this song. it's really just an accurate look at modern society and how it's changed. :]]
you forgot the best parts in the lyrics: whatever happened? ha ha ha happen
sex. srsly.
this is one of my favorites off of Rotation. To me, i feel like it is talking about the curroption of the media today. The whole "When singers wrote songs instead of hooks" reminds me of hannah montanna and the jonas brothers who are "muscians" who are too busy being in the press than creating quality music. this song is pure genious though. :]
Favorite part of the song is the end, when he sings "the way were living... take me back to the age of innocence." I love the way his voice changes. I think cause it reminds me of alex gaskarth though. Hahah.
