On My Mind Lyrics
My very first time
across the Mason-Dixon line
Through the hills of Pennslyvania
To Chicango and Centraltown
Driving down these roads
Cause we got nowhere left to go
Hangin round these bars and motels
Waiting for them to close so we can head home
So clap your hands, stomp your feet
Drive until you can't hardly see
And maybe tomorrow we'll wake up
In the arms of the ones that we love
Clap your hands, stop your feet
You only get one chance to be 19
And maybe tomorrow we'll find the time
But tonight it's Carolina that's on my mind
Spent two nights in Chicago
Then we packed up and headed east
I spent way too long in Ohio
Left out in the middle of the night for Tennessee
Leavin out early this morning
Destination: Abbeville
I'm praying that we make it by sundown
Cause if we don't I guess I never well
So clap your hands, stomp your feet
Drive until you can't hardly see
And maybe tomorrow we'll wake up
In the arms of the ones that we love
Clap your hands, stop your feet
You only get one chance to be 19
And maybe tomorrow we'll find the time
But tonight it's Carolina that's on my mind
Clap your hands, stop your feet
Drive until you can't hardly see
And maybe tomorrow we'll wake up
In the arms of the ones that we love
Clap your hands, stop your feet
You only get one chance to be 19
And maybe tomorrow we'll find the time
But tonight it's Carolina that's on my mind, yeah
It's Carolina that's on my mind
My very first time, across the Mason-Dixon line
Through the hills of Pennslyvania
But tonight, my minds on Carolina
across the Mason-Dixon line
Through the hills of Pennslyvania
To Chicango and Centraltown
Driving down these roads
Cause we got nowhere left to go
Hangin round these bars and motels
Waiting for them to close so we can head home

It's Carolina that's on my mind
Through the hills of Pennslyvania
But tonight, my minds on Carolina

This song is about how, even though they're far away from home, South Carolina is always on their minds!
Really great local band...one of their best songs, probably in their top 5. Such a great sounding song, and great lyrics as well. It's all about being on the road, doing shows and whatnot, but always having their hometown on their mind. It's a great, emotional song, and a true statement of that home is where the heart is. Amazing...
