Sitting 'round the campfire
Waiting for my turn
Sitting 'round the campfire
Waiting for my turn

Oh I've been waiting all week
Just to talk to Jimmy who plays the French horn
He's got skin that glows like the brass
And he's got a voice that sounds like Mr Mile's guitar

Well Jimmy burnt his hand on a hot coal
Then Mr Miles said it's time to sing along
Late night cookies and cream for all of you
Then we'll sit around and watch the fire burn

Sitting 'round the campfire
Waiting for my turn
Sitting 'round the campfire
Waiting for my turn

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight (x2)
'Cause in the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight (x2)

Kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord
('Cause in the jungle the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight) (x2)

[There's a bit here that I can't really understand, if anyone can tell it to me I'll put it in, thanks.]

Ohh oohhh oumbaway (x2)

Chips and hot dogs
Don't mean a thing
When I've got you babe

McDonalds, McDonalds
Kentucky Fried Chiken and a Pizza Hut (x2)

Sitting 'round the campfire
Waiting for my turn
Sitting 'round the campfire
Waiting for my turn

General CommentThis i think is just a song, starting off as Angus and Julia telling a story, mabye of a school camp, which then turns into the song they sung around the campfire...

    and the missing bit,
    this is my atempt

    Old McCavis is dead,
And his brother don't know it
His brother is dead McCavis don't know it
    'Cause both of them dead
And there in the same bed
But neither one knows that the other is dead
('Cause in the jungle the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight x2)

General CommentVery nice song, i love all of angus and julia's songs =D

That bit that's missing is a song that i learnt at a camp, it is as follows:

    Old McTavis is dead,
and his brother don't know it,
and his brother is dead, and McTavis don't know it
    and they're both lying dead,
and they're in the in the same bed,
neither one knows that the other is dead

    hoped that helped

General CommentI think you forgot a line.

    "Chips and hot dogs
    Don't mean a thing
    When I've got you babe"

After that it says "To wear my rings" or something?

I love this song cause it reminds me of all those childhood songs we used to sing : )

General CommentI'm a big fan of this duo...but this song really does suck haha. Julia's voice is at its irritable best, and lyrically and vocally its quite mindless

General CommentThis song was written for a fundraiser for an Australian radio station called FBI. The theme they were given was school camps, and they had an hour to write it and according to Julia, its the first and last song they will ever write together.
