This song is totally about being love with someone that is killing you. My most recent relationship is this song completely. I put so much into us that it about killed me, you really do want to rip a page out of your memory, but mostly its about deciding when enough is enough and letting go.

I love this song, and it has helped me stick to my decision about it being enough.

She regrets ever being with him at times. But other times she wants to work it out. Its a struggle for her to choose leaving or staying...very rough internal conflict.

she's debating whether she should stay with her bf or break-up with him. part of her wants to stay because they have such a history together and were so in love "Seems only like yesterday, Not even gravity; Could keep your feet off the ground when you're with me" but there's a part of her that knows that her relationship has gotten so bad because she says it's "Such a mystery when he's here with me; It's hard to believe I'm still lonely". she feel empty and alone even though they're still together.

she also mentions how she feels like she's sleeping with the enemy even though they're still sexual together. there's no connection/chemistry anymore.

trying to make the relationship work is taking all of her energy. she keeps giving her bf chances and tries to salvage their relationship but they still have problems. "Chances fading now, patience running out; This ain't how its supposed to be".

it sounds like she has reached that point in the relationship where she needs decide if she really want a relationship with the person or if to move on. she comes to the conclusion that he's not the one. but the feelings are already there she cant just walk away. all the good stuff is over and the problems are just beging and good sex just wont cut it. he doesnt talk much therefor their problems cant be worked out "such a mystery when he's here wit me, it's hard to beliebe im still lonely". everything just gets worse but there is still a strong phisical connection between the two of them "i'm having nightmares i'm sleeping wit the enemy" she fighting to make it work because she cant let go "Reverse the chemisrty" but she knows she need to because it wont work.. "This love is takin all of my energy" the energy to make it work, energ to walk away, the energy to forget.
It's dangerous because it could only end badly "i dont want us to be the end of me ". i dont want this relationship to affect how i feel about love in the future cause "this ain't how it suppose to be".... now thats deep

I'm probably wrong, but when I listen to this song it seems as if she's singing about being in a relationship with someone abusive. Like she knows she should leave but theres that part of her that can't because she loves him.

Everything about it is everything about I'm going through...loving someone and having a crazy on and off relationship but it's just taking up too much out of you, and you wonder if it's all really worth it. Her voice is amazing in this song-like she's really like, lost and exhausted from all the crap they both keep putting up with because they think there's something there. Lust, maybe, but no more love-at least not enough to keep them together-too much miscommunication for her to keep pretending she can do this. "There's no use hiding from my misery".
