Wisdom Lyrics

The lips of the righteous teach many,
But fools die for want of wisdom.
The rich man wealth is in his city;
Do you hear, do you hear, can you understa-and?!

Destruction of the poor, is poverty;
Destruction of the soul, is vanity.
The righteous' wealth is in his Holy Pla-ace.
do you hear?

Those who have eyes, to see will see!

The rich man wealth is in his city;
do you hear, do you believe, do you understand?!

Destruction of the poor is poverty.
Destruction of the soul is vanity,
well hear me children!
The righteous' wealth is in his Holy Pla-ace!

this is a cool song.. it's about how people can't except that they don't know everything... and if everyone really wanted to find happiness they just need to believe in god, bcoz god is love.. 'the righteous' wealth is in his holy place'.. 'those who have eyes to see will see¬!'.. bob just wants everyone to wake up and really realize whats important in life...

agreed louiseruben88 but its not about people not excepting things that they dont know. most of his songs focused on enlightening black people about the injustices of governments in the world,mostly jamaica and america. He was mostly refering to whites or "the rich man" who gets wealth and hapiness out of "his" cities..but for blacks to get wealth happiness out of the "holyplace" basicly meaning Religion and God
