I'm just gonna say it, I see right through that smile
you're not fooling anyone
cause I've kept it quiet for far too long
I won't sit and watch you die
you're not fooling anyone.

It kills me to see this,
when i've known you my whole life and now
you look as if, you've already died
there's no cure for this disease, it's all up to you
is life worth living? Are we worth loving?

I'm just gonna say it, I see right through that smile
you're not fooling anyone

We're torn apart, watching you throw yourself away
as if your life is worth nothing at all
as if you cant see it happening. you're so addicted
it consumes you, and it's killing you

I'm just gonna say it, I see right through that smile
you're not fooling anyone
cause I've kept it quiet for far too long
I won't sit and watch you die
you're not fooling anyone.

You're not fooling anyone, except yourself
It's not too late, but it's up to you

Don't expect me to say goodbye.

Now is the time you decide if your life is worth living
is this is how you want it to end? you're not fooling anyone,
except yourself

Don't expect me to say goodbye
I won't say goodbye

Someone close to him has a disease that has no cure and they're going to die soon. Usually when people hear that type of news, they embark on a quest to make something out of their lives by teaching others about the disease or doing things they've always wanted to do and all that good stuff.

This person instead probably lost hope, is depressed, and is now wasting their money, time, and life on drugs or alcohol. They're lying to their friends and themselves about their addiction. And this person is obviously close to him so he can see through this person's lies. He was able to keep his mouth shut for a while, probably in hopes that the person would change their ways, but they kept walking down the dark path and is now confronting them.

He can definitely see through bullshit. Woo! :]

I think everyone has wanted to say this to someone that they truly care about who is going through a problem with addiction, sickness or disease.

this song is definitely about someone close to him that is addicted to drugs and is possibly refusing his request to quit

    I think it's about depression.

"I'm just gonna say it, I see right through that smile you're not fooling anyone"

The person is pretending to be happy, his friend can tell he's faking it. The person with depression is self destructing and is practically ruining his life.

i think it's about a drug addict and narrator being fed up with it: "We're torn apart, watching you throw yourself away, as if your life is worth nothing at all. as if you cant see it happening. you're so addicted. it consumes you, and it's killing you" andd perhaps the druggie also is in depression and wallowing and hoping for pity. but the narrator is "seeing right through" this little act. yet doesn't want to see the person 'die' or get hurt any further: "I won't sit and watch you die"

I think the song's about depression, self harming and suicidal thoughts.

"I'm just gonna say it, I see right through that smile" He can tell that the person's just faking a smile.

"We're torn apart, watching you throw yourself away as if your life is worth nothing at all as if you cant see it happening. you're so addicted it consumes you, and it's killing you" From my experiences of self harm, thoughts of worthlessness is a part of it, and when they start they're in control and do it because they want to but after awhile it becomes more of an addiction and the urges get too strong to stop themselves.

"Because I've kept it quiet for far too long I won't sit and watch you die" I imagined that he found out that the person self harmed but didn't mention it but now that it's gotten to suicide, he's now trying to help them.
