Little Tornado Lyrics
Little tornado
Bane of the trailer park
Lifting houses
To leave your mark
Little tornado
Noah can build his ark
But he will never
Disembark
Make it go faster
Baby, go faster
Make it go twice the speed
Of you and me
Little tornado
You and the hurricane
Close your eyes and
Go campaign
Make it go faster
Baby, go faster
Make it go twice the speed
Of you and me
Oh no, no, we don't
No, we don't know (No, no, no, we don't know)
No, no, no, we don't
No, we don't know (No, we don't, no, we don't know)
No, no, no, we don't
No, we don't know
Little tornado
Blew out the window pane
Left the inside
To the rain
Make it go faster
Baby, go faster
Make it go twice the speed
Of you and me
Oh no, no, we don't
No, we don't know (No, we don't, no, we don't know)
No, no, no, we don't
No, we don't know (No, we don't, no, we don't know)
Oh no, no, we don't
No, we don't know
Bane of the trailer park
Lifting houses
To leave your mark
Noah can build his ark
But he will never

Baby, go faster

A dark song. I thought it might be about an abusive guy - the destructive metaphor of the tornado in the trailer park hints that way - but I'm wondering now if it's the dying thoughts of a woman in an unhappy relationship, as she is killed in a storm. Or I'm way off - I just got the album a couple days ago.
OK, trying to think of something creative to say about this unbelievable song . . . but can only say this . . . IT'S THE BEST SONG EVER PERIOD. Other songs are great . . . Imagine, American Pie, etc, but no song hits the emotional level of Pearl Jam's Black !!!
It might be because Aimee's vocals sound especially maternal and forlorn in this song, but I'm getting the idea that we are hearing the perspective of a mother whose daughter is growing up and abandoning her as well as the trailer park way of life.
