Stripmall Religion Lyrics
I see nothing at all
But I hear that im caught
In the crossfire oh
I feel it keepin me low
Low to the ground
And it's clear that what I dont know is pulling me down
And your stripmall religion
Is making me a belligerent man
In spite of TV confessions
Would I still do the best I can
What goes on in the shadows will come into light
And what was wrong with your mind can be made to be right
So keep a watchful eye on your neighbour tonight
Oh keep a watchful eye on your neighbour tonight
Cause all this stripmall religion
Is making me a belligerent man
You're left with our decisions
Well I can't precision
With the orphans of the storm
It was one for the ages
In my dreams we're already born
On your written pages
You go your way and i'll go mine
I'll see you somewhere down the line
You go your way and i'll go mine
Now there's bloodshed in my hometown
And there was bloodshed
There were kids shot down
There were kids shot down oh
Oh your stripmall religion
Is making me a belligerent man
In spite of TV confessions
Oh I still do the best I can
Yeah your stripmall religion
Is making me a belligerent man
You're left with our decisions
Well I can't precision
Oh and it makes me uneasy now
You know it makes me uneasy
I said it makes me uneasy now
You know it makes me uneasy uneasy
You go your way and i'll go mine
I'll see you somewhere down the line
You go your way and i'll go mine
I'll see you somewhere down the line
But I hear that im caught
In the crossfire oh
Low to the ground
And it's clear that what I dont know is pulling me down
Is making me a belligerent man
In spite of TV confessions
Would I still do the best I can
And what was wrong with your mind can be made to be right
So keep a watchful eye on your neighbour tonight
Oh keep a watchful eye on your neighbour tonight
Is making me a belligerent man
You're left with our decisions
Well I can't precision
It was one for the ages
In my dreams we're already born
On your written pages
I'll see you somewhere down the line
You go your way and i'll go mine
And there was bloodshed
There were kids shot down
There were kids shot down oh
Is making me a belligerent man
In spite of TV confessions
Oh I still do the best I can
Is making me a belligerent man
You're left with our decisions
Well I can't precision
You know it makes me uneasy
I said it makes me uneasy now
You know it makes me uneasy uneasy
I'll see you somewhere down the line
You go your way and i'll go mine
I'll see you somewhere down the line

What i think it's about is Commercialism, and the fact that people are more connected to possessions now than poeple were to religion and God in the past.
I'm pretty sure the part "Now there's bloodshed in my hometown, There were kids shot down" is about the Dawson college shooting in 2006, in Sam Robert's home town of Montreal.
I think its about how religious differences are so small and so numerous yet they cause people to be 'belligerent'. When he says he sees nothing but is caught in a crossfire I think it means even if you don't see the differences between religions there is a fight between the viewpoints...also when he talks about kids being shot down. I would agree its about Dawson College but I think it applies to many situations where like he said people are becoming belligerent. He also says keep a careful watch on your neighbour. To me this song just sounds like a guy who is frustrated with religions causing turmoil
I believe you to be right!
"Yeah your stripmall religion Is making me a belligerent man You're left with our decisions Well I can't precision"
should be
"Yeah your stripmall religion Is making me a belligerent man You're eleventh hour decisions are lacking in precision"
