Are you sure it doesn't say 'weekends make up for the lost time'? As in the weekdays that they are not together are the lost time and weekends are when they see each other and make up for it. It could be either to be honest, both 'weekends' or 'we can't' make sense.

and for the very last line its: and I can't breathe. not can

I think there are more lyrics that are wrong here, but whatever. anyways, this song is about a somewhat long distance relationship, and he's saying that even though your going to be far away I'm still going to try to see you as often as possible, and I'm willing to drive down there to come see you because I think about you all the time. they apologize to eachother because they want to spend as much time together as possible and its frusturating that they can't because of the distance and how she's really busy with college so they only really get to see eachother on Fridays (and weekends?)

it is University City, missouri. and it is in th St. Louis area. and Christopher Drew is from Joplin. in the way south-west area (almost oklahoma) so i dont think it is the town. just anting to state that.

"Weekend make-up for the lost time that we both apologie for" should be "we can't make-up for the lost times that we both apologize for" and at the end where you have "and i can breathe." it's "and i can't breathe"

this song is clearly about a long distance realtionship. he's saying, yeah they're far apart but they can drive and still see eachother. hence the "although the distance is daring, we both know how to drive." pretty self explanitory there.

i may be wrong though. either way, this song is wonderful. <3
