Johnny & June Lyrics
Oh there's something 'bout a man in black,
Makes me want to buy a cadillac,
Throw the top back,
And roll down to Jackson town,
I wanna be there on the stage with you,
You and I could be the next rage to,
Hear the crowd roar,
Make 'em want more,
Kick the footlights out,
I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,
I wanna hold you baby right or wrong,
Build a world around a country song,
Pray a sweet prayer,
Follow you there,
Down in history,
I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,
Like Johnny and June,
More than life itself,
No-one else,
This endless promise,
They don't make love like that anymore,
Is that too much to be askin' for,
I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,
Like Johnny and June,
And when we're gone,
There'll be no tears to cry,
Only memories of our lives,
They'll remember, remember,
A love like that.
Makes me want to buy a cadillac,
Throw the top back,

I wanna be there on the stage with you,

This is the Love Song of all time in my book... I am one of the hugest johnny cash fans that you will find at age 14, and the love that Johnny and June had was unmistakable, unbreakable, and one in a million type of thing. Johnny was married when he fell for June, June was married as well. But no matter how hard that they tried they could not break away from eachother... everything that they did would somehow in someway bring them back together. They way that she put in the refrences to Johhny and June were soo subtle that you really have to listen or read the lyrics really carefully to find them..
makes me wanna buy a Caddilac..... Johhny always drove one... A black Caddilac (see Black Caddilac Roseann Cash) theres something about a Man in black.. Johnny was the man in Black Jackson,, the first duet they sang Kick out the footlights. Johnny Mastered that Ring of Fire and Walk the Line.. both songs he wrote for june When your gone i wanna go too... June died.. months later Johnny follows Memories will always go on... Its true the memories of their love will always go on.. DAMN theres even a song about it!!!!!!
Aw...I absolutely love this song! It is so so sweet! Yes, one day I want to love like Johnny and June. And what is really awesome, is that I like a guy named Johnny. And yes, Johnny likes me too. AND...we BOTH love this song! :))
i know this song is about johnny cash and june, but i feel a different meaning. i feel like the meaning is giving it all up for the one you love. like johnny and june had a beautiful relationship and this person wants a relationship like that. the line that is the most powerful is "i wanna love, love you that much... cash it all in, give it all up." and that portrays the meaning of giving everything up for the one you love because the feelings that strong.
I also think it's about giving everything you have into a relationship and truly loving the person you're with, not wanting to live a day without them.
I agree it's about giving your all to the one you love.
I love the Johnny and June love story and this song is so beautiful.
I think alot of people relate to this song.
this song makes me want to cry
love is such a beautiful thing
its about giving love everything you have, no matter what. love isn't always perfect, look at johnny and june's beginning. But love isn't about the perfection... its about the imperfections. how could you not want a love like johnny and june had?
this song is amazing. all i ever wish for is to have a love like that some day
i wanna love like johnny and june...no, seriously though.
