Free Lyrics
Time has come and time has gone
Since I packed my bags and I moved on
And I somehow seemed to get along without you
Well it's been so long since I've seen your face
And it's been so long since I've seen that place
But I smile now, without the trace of a teardrop
Well the road was painful and it was rough
And finally I am tough enough
To walk on my own
And now I'm
Free, free, free
No one's stopping
Me, me, me
From being what I want to be
Yes, I'm finally free
Walking away was the hardest part
I had to use my head and not my heart
Finding the truth was the start to letting go
Well step by step, I found my way
I had to hold my breath for one last day
Sometimes all I could do was pray that I would make it through
Well the road was painful and it was rough
And finally I am tough enough
To walk on my own
And now I'm
Free, free, free
No one's stopping
Me, me, me
From being what I want to be
Yes, I'm finally
Free as the wind blowing through the trees
And now I can begin living this life for me
And now I can win
Yes, I can win
And yes I win because I'm
Free, free, free
No one's stopping
Me, me, me
From being what I want to be
Yes, I'm finally
Free, free, free
No one's stopping
Me, me, me
From being what I want to be
Yes, I'm finally... free
Since I packed my bags and I moved on
And I somehow seemed to get along without you
And it's been so long since I've seen that place
But I smile now, without the trace of a teardrop
And finally I am tough enough
To walk on my own
Free, free, free
No one's stopping
Me, me, me
From being what I want to be
Yes, I'm finally free
I had to use my head and not my heart
Finding the truth was the start to letting go
I had to hold my breath for one last day
Sometimes all I could do was pray that I would make it through
And finally I am tough enough
To walk on my own
Free, free, free
No one's stopping
Me, me, me
From being what I want to be
Yes, I'm finally
Free as the wind blowing through the trees
And now I can begin living this life for me
And now I can win
Yes, I can win
Free, free, free
No one's stopping
Me, me, me
From being what I want to be
Yes, I'm finally
Free, free, free
No one's stopping
Me, me, me
From being what I want to be
Yes, I'm finally... free

Hey, thanks for adding these songs. I actually came on here to do this because I saw they weren't on here a few days ago - you obviously beat me to it!
This is my favorite song on 'Songs from the Attic'. I'll listen to it when I'm in a bad mood and it just is one of those things that makes you feel that everything will be fine and tomorrow holds something new.
Ha ha, no problem... It's amazing what you can accomplish when you can't sleep.
I think this is probably the best song to start the album off on. Nice upbeat message about being able to overcome... which is much easier said than done.
