My favorite Miley Cyrus song. I think it's about a guy she really likes during a rough patch in her life. But they're, at the moment, just friends. She's chasing after him, trying to get him to be with her. People are telling them that it's not gonna work out. She wants to give up, but at the same time, she still really likes him. So she's just trying to get him to feel the same.

Nope, its not a cover, it just has the same title. I'm kind of confused about what the song is about.
To me the meaning is pretty obvious. She's in love with a guy and without him, things look to be pretty sour. So she keeps going back to wanting him as much as she'd like to move on. But I don't think he realizes how much she's in love with him.

in relation to her and the time she wrote it, it is basically about a certain someone hoping he will come around. Meaning hoping they can get back together, cus without him everything isn't going to well for her. She tried going on without him but she goes full circle cus she misses him. She is hoping he will come around and be together again.
