Indiana Lyrics
So get in, or get out before your mom cracks down, honest, it's a touch, too much to get down
So get up, or lie down, cause either way we're making out tonight, alone, alone tonight
I put forth the effort to keep you happy for a while, we're two weeks in and here we are again, here we are again
And when it's over and done
I cannot get out of this place that I am in
When every one of your words, they mean nothing
I cannot get closer to you
Where do you get off telling me constantly, what I'm gonna be, that I'll be just fine if I cannot be close to you (to you)
And so you gave me a second chance, it was my first intent to make you believe me, so
Tell me the way you felt the morning after
Tell me the way you felt, you wanted to hear it, so here it goes
And when it's over and done
I cannot get out of this place that I am in
When every one of your words, they mean nothing
If I cannot get closer to you
Where do you get off telling me constantly, what I'm gonna be, I'll be just fine if I cannot be close
Can't we just agree to disagree, it's a sad thing
(come on baby, I don't want to)
Can't we just agree to disagree, it's a sad thing
(and I love you too)
Can't we just agree to disagree, it's a sad thing
(come on baby, I don't want to)
Can't we just agree to disagree, it's a sad thing
(come on baby, I don't want to)
And when it's over and done, I cannot get out of this place that I am in
Oh, this place that I am in
I cannot get out of this place that I am in
When every one of your words, they mean nothing
If I cannot be close to you, where do you get off telling me constantly what I'm gonna be, that I'll be just fine if I cannot be close to you
So get up, or lie down, cause either way we're making out tonight, alone, alone tonight
When every one of your words, they mean nothing

Oh, this place that I am in

the only part I'm unsure of is what he says between "telling me constantly" and "I'll be just fine"
it sounds like he repeats himself but i'm not sure. its something to start on though.
and for what i think it means: This guy has lost his girlfriend to distance. She didn't wanna try it out but he convinced her otherwise, and now she's telling him he'll be fine without her and he disagrees. She wants to break things off because of the distance but he doesn't want to. For the "over and done.." bit, I'm thinking that once they do break up, because he's expecting to, he won't be able to get over her. No matter what she tells him about getting over her, he's always going to feel the same way.
^I agree(: I think it's about a girl and boy who's relationship is drifting apart. "I put forth the effort to keep you happy for a while, we're two weeks in and here we are again, here we are again" ^as saying they tried to put the relationship back together it was alright for a little while, but now it's coming apart again. the girl's saying that she thinks that they should break it up and that the guy will be alright, but the guy wants to be with her. He wants to work things out, but she thinks it will be better for them both if they broke it off.
you've got most of the lyrics, but i think there's a couple changes. and if i'm wrong, i'm gonna look like an idiot. :P
so get in or get out before your mom cracks down. honest, it's a touch, too much to get down. so get up, or lie down, cause either way we're making out tonight, alone, alone tonight.
i put forth the effort to keep you happy for a while. we're two weeks in and here we are again, here we are again.
and when it's over and done, i cannot get out of this place that i am in, when every one of your words, they mean nothing, if i cannot be close. where do you get off telling me constantly what i'm gonna be? i'll be just fine if i cannot be close to you.
and so you gave me a second chance, it was my first intent to make you believe me, so, tell me the way you felt the morning after. tell me the way you felt. you wanted to hear it, so here it goes:

can we just agree to disagree? it's a sad thing. (come on baby, i don't want to.) can we just agree to disagree? it's a sad thing. (and i love you too.) can we just agree to disagree? it's a sad thing. (come on baby, i don't want to.) can we just agree to disagree? it's a sad thing. (come on baby, i don't want to.)
and when it's over and done, i cannot get out of this place that i am in. oh, this place that i am in.
i cannot get out of this place that i am in, when every one of your words, they mean nothing, if i cannot be close. where do you get off telling me constantly what i'm gonna be? i'll be just fine if i cannot be close to you.
i agreee with the both of you, i think its about a relationship thats drifting apart, and he doesnt want to.
forever the sickest kids = most amazing band ever. no doubt about that one .
love love love this track.
I agree about the drifting apart. I also think, though, that it was one of those "break-up, make-up" cycle of relationship. So he's tired of it and wants to break the cycle, because no matter how many times they try, nothing's happening.
whys it called indiana?
i love this track, most definately my favourite.
i agree about the relationship falling apart thing. kinda reminds me of my current situation. but of course, guy likes girl, girl wants to end it, ect.
love this song so much. no idea why it's called indiana though. kyle was originally from indiana? don't know if that would have something to do with it or not.
but yeah. i think it's about a relationship drifting apart.
Yall are a little wrong on what this song means. It's about a girl that means nothing. A girl that he got easy, and probably is easy.
"I put forth the effort to keep you happy for a while. we're two weeks in and here we are again, here we are again."
he wrote that for a reason, because he only cared enough to keep her happy for just a small amount of time. Again, because the girl means nothing to him.
"I cannot get out of this place that I am in When every one of your words, they mean nothing I cannot get closer to you Where do you get off telling me constantly, what I'm gonna be, that I'll be just fine if I cannot be close to you (to you)"
He's listening to her words, but they go in one ear and out the other. He doesn't care what she has to say, just what she'll give him. Very exploratory meaning? She's telling him off for telling him constantly that he'll be just fine if he can't be close with her.
and so on and so forth, the song constantly conveys a feeling of non-emotion for the girl from Caleb's lyrics. It's one of the songs constantly in my Top 25 Played, and it'll probably remain there. You should all buy the album version off iTunes for this song! and get the new stuff coming out in 2 days!
