Whenever you go, then I'll be waiting
Whenever the loneliness you're hating
Whenever you say you wish you never left me
I say I told you so
I told you so

I used to think it mattered
How hard it was to cry
Crying's just a reflex now to you
Instead of trying to heal the scars
And the potholes in your life
Put a steel plate over them and that'll do

And as I waited by the bathroom door
You're writing on the bathroom floor
Waiting for an answer that only I can give to you

Whenever you go, then I'll be waiting
Whenever the loneliness you're hating
Whenever you say you wish you never left me
I say I told you so
I told you so
Whenever you go, then I'll be waiting
Whenever the loneliness you're hating
Whenever you say you're always gonna love me
I say I told you so
I told you so

The sun comes up and the blinds go down
To hide you from the light
The light inside your eyes that wants to shine
All of the Sunday morning reruns seem ridiculous like you
Sleeping everyday at different times

You can run but you can't hide from me
I know who you used to be
And that's the person that I want to let me come inside

Whenever you go, then I'll be waiting
Whenever the loneliness you're hating
Whenever you say you wish you never left me
I say I told you so
I told you so
Whenever you go, then I'll be waiting
Whenever the loneliness you're hating
Whenever you say you're always gonna love me
I say I told you so
I told you so

Don't shut the door, don't shut me out
Don't make this be the last time that I see your hands
Cause I want them to hold me
And I want you to show me
That this will be our only place
Without your face there's just no...

Whenever you go, then I'll be waiting
Whenever the loneliness you're hating
Whenever you say you wish you never left me
I say I told you so
I told you so
Whenever you go, then I'll be waiting
Whenever the loneliness you're hating
Whenever you say you're always gonna love me
I say I told you so
I told you so

Whenever you go, then I'll be waiting
Whenever the loneliness you're hating
Whenever you say you wish you never left me
I say I told you so
I told you so

I say I told you so
I told you so
I say I told you so
I told you so

    I love this song :)

I think it's about a girl who left a guy and she wants him back and now he's saying "I told you so"

that's just my guess, I could be really wrong anyway, blg is amazing :)

hm i have the BLG album and i havent heard this. but without hearing this and just reading the lyrics id have to say this is about a girl who clearly does not want to face her problems and deal with them and would rather just block them out. "Instead of trying to heal the scars And the potholes in your life Put a steel plate over them and that'll do" says it all.

on the same note he also is saying "you left me and want me back and i told you so"

Its about a girl who dumped a guy (i think she was running from her feelings or she was afraid that he would hurt her) and she's really depressed. The guy is willing to take her back whenever she wants to come back to him, like he knew she would.

yes the meaning is pretty obvious. a girl dumped this guy, and he still likes her, but when she wants him back, then he's just gonna go like "i told you so".

I think he lost this girl to drugs.. it sounds to me like they're saying 'your body on the bathroom floor' not 'writing', then they say 'crying's just a reflex now to u' (a common characteristic of users) and 'i kno who u used to be' and 'when the sun comes up the blinds go down' and 'sleeping every day at different times'.. sounds like he lost her to drugs..

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
