From what I can tell, this song is written from the point of view of someone who died.

They're basically telling the people they left behind that they can be strong with out them, even though it'll be hard, they will get through it, and to remember they'll be together again some day... meaning the afterlife.

This is one of my favorite songs by them. I forgot where i found this out, but Bill wrote this after he watcched Tatianic. That's why as you read through the song, there are lines like "Before the ocean breaks apart underneath me" and "I'm sinking away from you". Some people say this song has a Twincest-y (sexual love between twins) vibe to it because of the lines like,"We can't hide the truth, I'm giving up for you now." But overall, GREAT SONG!! ICH LIEBE TOKIO HOTEL!!!

This is basicaly Bill singing for his family. They will remain to him forever sacred, because he loves them this much. They've given him so much support and that's why he wrote this song for them.

I think that its about someone that he loved dearly that had died because when he says " Like a dove Over me" like that person watching over him like an angel from heaven and also when he says "I know that one day We'll meet again" like he's saying that when he dies he'll see that person. when he says "I'm sinking I'm sinking Away from you" like hes loosing touch with that person. and when he says"I'm still awake for you" like hes saying hes waiting up for that person even though they wont meet for a while....but either way you take it, it always makes me cry :*(

I dont think Bill actually worte it particularly to any specific person but to people about a person who was in love with someone who was dying or reliving moment from the person who is now dead.

I love this song. I lost my aunt this summer and it has been so hard. I think of her every time I hear this one. We released doves at her funeral and my husband knows the man who owned them and one never came back. I like to think that it symbolic and that she is a dove watching over us.
I love you Aunt Lynn and we will see you again some day!

Sacred famaly and friends a stromg that means alot to you no one will break it its sacred and part of you and yes he did write this song with him and his friends I bet they put the songs together??? And it just means a strong bond no one will ever break it like god is sacred to people.
