Practice Makes Perfect Lyrics
So sweet I can hardly speak
Due to such trauma in my teeth
But your body language is telling me
That you're worth the pain
So weak I can hardly keep
Shaky legs holding up my feet
But your body language is telling me
That I'm not to blame
Practice makes perfect
Practice makes perfect sense
I've become
What a mother wouldn't want in a son
And I have done a few things I regret
But practice makes perfect
Practice makes perfect sense to me
Wake up at first light
Hearing you calling out
For your criminal court that fled the scene
Upon being ripped free
Conversation ensued
And I wanna do so many things to do
Sip after sip, you insist you're ahead
Sip after sip, yeah
I swear I can feel it
Practice makes perfect
Practice makes perfect sense
I've become
What a mother wouldn't want in a son
And I have done a few things I regret
I've become
What a mother wouldn't want in a son
And I have done
What a mother wouldn't want
What a mother wouldn't want in a son

i like how he fakes a lisp when he sings "so sweet I can hardly speak due to such trauma in my teeth"...it's subtle but reflects the meaning of the line in a clever way
uh, AnewGeo, are you talking about the same song here? Pretty sure Shaant's not a girl....
I approve of both your post and your name.

Hmm. The line, "I've become what a mother wouldn't want in a son." Is very familiar to... "And all of the mothers raise their babies, to stay away from me, and pray that they don’t grow up to be." Fall Out Boy - Golden. Just a thought though.
ok, so i really love this song. its pretty different for cute is what we aim for because their theme has revolved around high school drama and cliques. but i think this song is about messing up in life. this song reminds me of this guy i know. both his parents are chemists and he really just wants to be a rockstar. its hard, because you want to please your parents, but you have to be true to yourself. when you're caught in the middle, bad things can happen and i think thats what this song is about. practice makes perfect. you've gotta keep trying until you get it right. i love this song and i'm hellza stoked for their new album!!!
in regards to the meaning of the song. i think it's about regret. regretting numerous things: one night stands, fights, things we've said, excessive drinking, the list could go on for miles. but within all of this regret, there is realization. realization that the past can't be changed. realization that we make mistakes to learn from them. and we learn by practice. and practice makes perfect.
i know this prob isnt what this song is about, but the lines "practice makes perfect, practice makes perfect sense to me"
makes me think of two friends who kiss eachother and tell eachother, 'oh its just for practice, we're normal' but they know they really actually like eachother.
haaha, idkk. (:
first single off the new cd Rotation...very solid song, and Shaant has definitely matured in his singing for the new album...can't wait for the release
**wasn't sure about the last two lines in the 2nd verse if anyone knows...
love it. it's awesome
i think if you really read these lyrics and listen to the song, it actually has a deep meaning. i mean, shaant could be talking about his past and how he's overcome it with "practice" and such. and how he thinks his mother would rather have a son who was different. or something along those lines, i dunno. i think the last two lines are: sit back to sit, you instist you're ahead sit back to sit, yeah that's where i can feel it
i'm not totally sure but it's what it sounds like to me.
Nope it's correct on these lyrics don't worry ^^
