Letting You Lyrics

LETTING YOU

the sky is painted black
the smoke pours out the stack
one hand upon your heart
one hand behind your back
you train us how to act
you keep the fear intact
the imminent attack
everything is right on track

and we are letting you get away
we are letting you get away with it

upon our plates to feed
the dying left to bleed
how much we really need
your politics of greed
the cancer takes ahold
the wolf is in the fold
our destiny’s been sold
we do just what we’re told

and we are letting you get away
we are letting you get away with it

your armies filled with hate
believing your charade
begin to suffocate
for us it’s far too late

and we are letting you get away
we are letting you get away with it

we're forced to be robotic americans. and nobody is doing anything about it.

Now with such obvious clues as the picture that came with song, how can this not be the sequel to year zero.

This song just goes to show how the govt. is fucking us over. They expect us to become what they want us to become and we don't realize it until its too late

in the pic for this song, the star in the resistance flag is covered up by the red line...i wander what this means....is the resistance over? is it all pointless now that the presence is fucking everything up? now everyone is running....chaos.

Great song... but PikachusNightmare: we all make little choices along the way that decide just how much we give up, and listening to, and more importantly interpreting, this music is a great way to keep it fresh on the mind that we are being "forced" to be robotic americans, but we can rebel with our own forces to accomplish what we know must be done and avoid what we know we cannot endure.

exactly, warstrong, that's my point. to be forced doesn't necessarily mean to give into it. this song is what Open Source Resistance is all about; this is where it comes into play..

notice the image that comes with the download of this song. it's very obvious. so warstrong, i think you detailed my statement.

yes, very groovy song. i think i'll call this industrial punk.

well, PikachusNightmare, it's always nice to see someone else who really gets it...if you feel like it you can IM at laket06 (AIM)...for some reason everything on The Slip is sticking on the top of my mind.

I was just thinking of how they can mold us to whatever they want if they ban certain things. It's just like parents molding their children into what they want them to be. The negative part of me says that people will just give up and accept it, and that they already have.

I recently ratted out a kid for doing drugs in the middle of recess. Over 150 other kids knew about it, and I was the only person to do a damn thing about it. I can't really be proud of myself because I am disappointed by everyone else who didn't speak up because that wasn't the cool thing to do. If being your own person and standing up as an independent is only present in about 1/150 Americans, what kind of chance do we stand against a mind-controlling government? (btw, I am not against drugs in the right hands, but it wasn't doing that kid any good)
