Say Aha Lyrics

Louder than they
Louder than they
Louder than they
Allow, allow
Louder than they
Louder than they
Louder than they
Allow, allow
Say Aha, Aha
Say Aha, aha

At night it's eating up your head,
Backed against the wall
Got you in a tight place
Though you're not alone at all
Been fighting, trying to place a name on what it's called
Make you feel like a losing streak cuz you know
But you're not involved

Louder than they
Louder than they
Louder than they
Allow, allow
Louder than they
Louder than they
Louder than they
Allow, allow
Say Aha, Aha
Say Aha, aha

It's alright, cuz everything they say
Doesn't make no sense
It's that time
I'm picking up my ass
Up from off the fence
Gonna blow a hole in this charade
It's self defense
I'm a army got a whole brigade in my two sense

Louder than they
Louder than they
Louder than they
Allow, allow
Louder than they
Louder than they
Louder than they
Allow, allow
Say Aha, Aha
Say Aha, aha

Ooooohhh
Send in your torpedos for all they know
Make a show, shake them up before you blow
Cuz they don't want no cure
No, you'd better find a way
Their aim's not pure

Louder than they
Louder than they
Louder than they
Allow allow
Louder than they
Louder than they
Louder than they
Allow allow
Say Aha, Aha
Say Aha, aha

A biblical reference:

"Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha." -- Psalm 40:15

Praying your enemies will wake up and see how wrong they are, and feel sick for having mistreated and laughed at you.

... But if that doesn't work, and they simply won't see the light, then they should go to hell.

Completely awesome. The vocals are very good. Best song I heard this last times.

The narrator is referring to hearsay and people talking about you, when they really don't know you.

I'm trying to figure out if this song is about rebellion (retaliate) or about being not contested (ignore), though.

I think this song speaks about someone struggling with self expression. The first verse talks about how this person feels ambushed and threatened. The last two lines "Make you feel like...but you're not involved" talks about how this person knows what they are not expressing, but can't break out of that oppression. The second verse talks about how they are tired of controlling themselves for others, they will get off the fence. This is self defense because authentic self expression is the only way to become healthy. This is a wonderful song, I really enjoy her original sound. It's fun to listen to!
