I don't know about anyone else but to me this song has a very sexual undertone. I don't even know if it's about love at all. it basically sounds to me like he just wants to have sex with this girl. "lock me up inside your garden" sounds more like "I wanna be inside of you" if you ask me.

I don't think there is a sexual connotation to the song at all. It's about a passionate love that burns, but does not consume his heart. A love that seems to take everything, but in the end, leaves him "whole".
This is the song that made me fall in love with Augustana. I was obsessed with it, and played it over and over and over. I hadn't heard any of their other songs when I bought Can't Love, Can't Hurt, but now, I've fallen in love with them all. (: ♥ But, this song is really beautiful. I agree both with Jordanzadanggit and sunshine16 for the meaning of the song- I think it's about passion, but it really sounds like it has a slight sexual undertone.
