God's Got It Lyrics
Well, well, well
If you need it, God's got it!
God's got everythang that you need
If you need it, God's got it
God's got everythang that you need
If you need it, God's got it
He's got everythang that you need
He's got every, everythang a poor boy needs
Well if it's money
God's got it
He's got everythang that you need
Well if it's money
God's got it
He got everythang that you need
Well if it's money
God's got it
God got everythang that you need
He got everythang, everythang a poor boy needs
Well alright, alright...
Well if it's a friend
God's got it
God's got everythang that you need
Well if it's a friend
God's got it
He got everythang that you need
If it's a friend
God's got it
God got everythang that you need
He's got every, everythang a poor boy needs
I said He's got it (He's got it)
He's got it (He's got it)
He's got it
He's got it
Come back
Let me try
Put my hand, try it on me
I said he's got
He's got it
He's got it
Well, He's got it
He's got it
He's got it
He's got it
God's got everything.
Alright!
Well I just want to get my hands on it
Well I just want to get my hands on it
Well I just want to get my hands on it,
just a little bit of what I need
If you need it, God's got it!
God's got everythang that you need
If you need it, God's got it
God's got everythang that you need
If you need it, God's got it
He's got everythang that you need
He's got every, everythang a poor boy needs
God's got it
He's got everythang that you need
Well if it's money
God's got it
He got everythang that you need
Well if it's money
God's got it
God got everythang that you need
He got everythang, everythang a poor boy needs
God's got it
God's got everythang that you need
Well if it's a friend
God's got it
He got everythang that you need
If it's a friend
God's got it
God got everythang that you need
He's got every, everythang a poor boy needs
He's got it (He's got it)
He's got it
He's got it
Come back
Let me try
Put my hand, try it on me
I said he's got
He's got it
He's got it
Well, He's got it
He's got it
He's got it
He's got it
God's got everything.
Well I just want to get my hands on it
Well I just want to get my hands on it,
just a little bit of what I need

When I hear the Black Crowes, I Feel the Holy Spirit. Just like Zepfreak, Rabbitbunny is an atheist! However, I absolutely love the Robinson's cover of Reverend Charlie's God's Got It! In this song, two birds named Christopher and Richard get their gospel groove on. Add a wallop of metal guitar and what have you got? A Southern song that gladdens the Heart and Soul of Rock and Friendship! As brothers it's true that Chris and Rich have never gotten along but once the music starts, telepathy and magic happen. To that end, Cheers! Black Crowes Rock! The South will rise again! Dixie Forever! No Confederate Flags Please!

this song leaves me in a bit of confusion. when the lyrics say "well if its money, God's got it"
makes it seem like its speaking in a sarcastic and mocking perspective.
am i wrong here? i hope i am.
or do the black crowes actually have some Christian themes in their music? i honestly dont know and am wondering if anyone knows for sure.
This is a cover song. The song was originally done in the '70s by a Louisiana preacher named Charlie Jackson. I don't think it was done in a mocking perspective.

Furthermore, the Crowes have several Christian-themed songs. I don't know what religion, if any, that the Robinson brothers follow. I'm an atheist, but I still enjoy the religious-themed songs for their musical quality.

The original version done by Rev. Charlie Jackson was a serious gospel tune.

However, the Crowes' version is indeed meant to be sarcastic. When they played it live, they brought out a custom-made bass drum that had George W. Bush's face on it and proceeded to play it using said drum as a means of protesting Bush.
