I think this song is about a girl who has fallen for a guy who has always been there and has always loved her.
But when she realises she is in love with him, he's become sick of waiting for her so he's decided to leave. The girl is upset because she realises that she's too late but she's going to persuade him to stay and she's going to try and make it work because she believes they're meant to be together..
