I'm like a rookie paramedic to a siren
Praying for an accident
No they won't let me roll
'Til I got no backup
Until they're out of control

This emergency, brought you to me

I'll be your doctor
I'll be your cure
I'll be your medicine and more
Yeah you can rest assure
I'm your doctor, I'm your cure
I'll be your cure

I got a secret
Please don't repeat it
I took the chemicals, we took to make our chemistry
And I remixed it
It didn't fix it
All it did was make the memories a blur to me

But this emergency brought you, brought you to me

I'll be your doctor
I'll be your cure
I'll be your medicine and more
Yeah you can rest assure
I'm your doctor, I'm your cure
I'll be your cure

I'll be, I'll be your cure
I'll be, I'll be your cure
I'll be, I'll be your cure
I'll be, I'll be yours
I'll be, I'll be your whore
I'll be, I'll be your cure
I'll be, I'll be your cure
I'll be, I'll be yours
I'll be, I'll be your cure
I'll be, I'll be your cure
I'll be, I'll be your cure

This emergency brought you to me

I'll be your doctor
I'll be your cure
I'll be your medicine and more
Yeah you can rest assure
I'm your doctor, I'm your cure
I'll be your cure

This is it for me (Repeat 8X)

    amazing song! (: urmm,

i think it's about an event that happened, and he met a girl because of it, and he's saying how good he could be to her "i'll be your medicine and more"

You've got to give 'em credit. They're trying real damn hard. Shaant's voice sounds so much better. It sounds much more mature and less... annoying as hell.

Its pretty obvious as to what its about :].

I don't think Shaant is talking about himself, but in a girl's perspective. It's about him being hurt due to a past relationship, and being unstable. That's when some girl, aka the doctor, comes and takes advantage of him. This makes him think everything is going to be fixed, and his heart will be "cured" with her "medication". In the second verse after the chorus, it's saying how she didn't fix him, all she did was play him, or "mix his old chemicals". It's basically saying she's just like the girl before, who broke his heart. Same with the whore line, he's realizing he doesn't mean anything to this girl, he was down and out, and she took it as an opportunity to use him. "This is it for me" is stating that he's finally done, and giving up on relationships.

I'm horrible at explaining things, but it's pissing me off how everyone thinks it's about two people being perfect for one another, and the girl getting cured. There's too many negative lines for it to be a happy song.

Pretty good song... Is it just me, or does Shaant sound really different?

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
