Sometimes Lyrics
The traffic is jamming
For miles up ahead
Releasing emotions
Deep in my head
I wish it was easy
Easy to breathe
The words that we needed
To get some relief
I still hear you crying, then I see you smiling
Even when I close my eyes
Sending a rescue
Coming to find you
Do you think that we could save another day
Try not to break down
Walking the old ground
I don't want to throw the life we had away
Blocked up and cluttered
Tired we stand
Alone together
Was just not the plan
Something undenying
In the underlining
Even if I close my eyes
Sending a rescue
Coming to find you
Do you think that we could save another day
Try not to break down
Walking the old ground
I don't want to throw the life we had away
For miles up ahead
Releasing emotions
Deep in my head
Easy to breathe
The words that we needed
To get some relief
Even when I close my eyes
Coming to find you
Do you think that we could save another day
Try not to break down
Walking the old ground
I don't want to throw the life we had away
Tired we stand
Alone together
Was just not the plan
Something undenying
In the underlining
Even if I close my eyes
Coming to find you
Do you think that we could save another day
Try not to break down
Walking the old ground
I don't want to throw the life we had away

This song is simply astounding. I heard it in the movie Spiral (starring Joel David Moore, Amber Tamblyn, Zachary Levi) and I fell in love with it.
It sounds to me like the song is coming from the point of view of a guy lost or trapped. He's having some sort of breakdown. He's reminiscing of past moments, and wants to relive those...
"Do you think that we could save another day, Try not to break down, Walking the old ground, I don't want to throw the life we had away"
The lyrics...
"Blocked up and cluttered, Tired we stand, Alone together, Was just not the plan, Something undenying, In the underlining, Even if I close my eyes"
...seem like their saying that they are a couple, and even though they are together, they feel alone. Even though neither of them want to speak of it...
"Something undenying, In the underlining"
...they know that the distance between the two emotionally is undeniable. The guy doesn't want it to end, but maybe deep down he knows that it will anyways. He's trying not to take it so hard...
"Try not to break down"
At this point, he's just thinking about how they used to be, and wanting to relive and revive those lost feelings for each other.
