i think its about a guy who is remembering every little detail of the person he loves but he knows that for some sad reason that they cant be together. so hes breaking her heart in a very harsh way so its a clean break. i think the first part of the song is a letter hes writing her or an aside to himself of his weakness for her..fav lyric in the song is "i'm never ever gonna be!"
