Wires (And the Concept of Breathing) Lyrics
Won't you scream my name?
For the first time
For the last time.
As I lay down my life before you.
The hiding place where I sought out your eyes.
Screaming outwards to shoot me back in time.
You sent me out in the right field
Spilled my words and disguise
We're starting a rise.
Now it's so true I can't go on without you by my side
Every night we die.
Hold my breath just to see your ghost
I hold it in my hand for you.
Won't you scream my name?
For the first time For the last time.
And I regret the moments I gave you
Searching for my plans to devour you
I finally found out the truth
You sent me out in the right field
Spilled my words and disguise
We're starting a rise.
Now it's so true I can't go on without you by my side.
Every night we die.
Let go of the wires!
Let go of the wires!
For the first time
For the last time.
The hiding place where I sought out your eyes.
Screaming outwards to shoot me back in time.
Spilled my words and disguise
We're starting a rise.
Every night we die.
I hold it in my hand for you.
For the first time For the last time.
Searching for my plans to devour you
I finally found out the truth
You sent me out in the right field
Spilled my words and disguise
We're starting a rise.
Every night we die.
Let go of the wires!

the songs about giving everything you have to someone you love, and they don't give anything in return.
towards the 2nd verse, you're regretting everything, trying to get over them, but you know you can't
so towards the end, it's just a cry to let go of the person, hence "let go of the wires"
i agree with pageweknew the wires are holding him back or strangling him which is where the song gets its title i'll always love old asd more than this but jag's not too bad i like the new asd too hey nightmare is still the best!
i agree :D
i agree :D
i would also like to add not about the lyrics but about the end of the song, remember how their old songs are all like almost five minutes? well they had a chance to make this one epic like their old stuff cuz i firmly believe "let go of the wires" could have been the opening for a badass breakdown. i think it would have added so much to the song...
I completely agree with you. She Watched the sky is still one of my all time favorite albums partially because of that.

i agree w/ blake2112, this song sounds like it got cut short or something. its a good song but couldve been amazing with an outro or something.
Gotta agree with blake2112 and pirateabc. When I first heard the song I thought it was going to lead into a sick breakdown, but then the song just started over. Their new stuff is a little different, but I'm a fan nonetheless. Like everyrone has said, it's about cutting off all form of attachment to someone, hence "Let go of the wires".
i agree with pageweknew. hes become too attached, and is trying to let go (of the wires) because she doesnt have the same feelings.
i agree with all of you guys OMG i'm in love with this song =0 they are awesome =]
I am a 100% AGREE to the above comments..x] it is so hard to be attached to the feelings to someone who are not attached with you..x[ unrequited love..
I agree, it's definetly about unrequited love, and the wires are his love for her, Hence the PHENOMINALLY EPIC line: "LET GO OF THE WIRES" which could be his conscience telling him to let this girl go. This is just such a sick song, the lead vocalist is amazing, and so is the screamer.
The line "Let go of the Wires" could be referring to the fact that when you grab hold of a wire carrying a current, it causes your muscles to clench, and you cannot let go. This is similar to the meaning of the song, as it can be hard to let go of people, much like an electrified wire.
