Nautilus Lyrics
breathe,
into the white,
nautilus you are free,
flesh, you are night.
return,
ashes to sea,
pill diffuses; the urn
now salt you are he
wave,
newfoundland shore,
from the foam to horizon,
all this is yours
water,
by every degree,
now the aqueous age,
in time you will see...
...you are the sea
into the white,
nautilus you are free,
flesh, you are night.
ashes to sea,
pill diffuses; the urn
now salt you are he
newfoundland shore,
from the foam to horizon,
all this is yours
by every degree,
now the aqueous age,
in time you will see...

one of my favourate songs, i read a poem recently called 'lyme regis - golden cap' by Anne Ridler which helped me make sence of this song alittle. Well, maybe :P i think it might be about birth, life, death and rebirth. the birth from the egg 'breathe' and being free from the egg into the sea, then death 'return' and 'ashes to sea' being reborn as the salt of the sea, but i beleive this is only an image for the nautilus being free of form, a spirit free to roam the far reaches, to horizon.
