Desperate Times Call For Desperate Housewives Lyrics

listen up everyone i want you (on the floor, on the floor)
when i say face the ground i mean (get on the floor on the floor)

yeah this is a hold up so listen up while i wave my gun
yeah this is a hold up
be patient cuz i'm really new at this profession
i'm just so sensitive, what's the story
i want the headline, what's the story

once again everyone i want you (on the floor, on the floor)
i think we all know the drill (just stay on the floor, on the floor)

yeah this is a hold up so listen while i wave my gun
yeah this is a hold up so listen while i wave my gun
be patient cuz i'm really new at this be patient
i'm just so sensitive, what's the story
i want the headline, what's the story
i'll be on the news tonight

desperate times call for desperate housewives
desperate times call for desperate housewives
desperate times call for desperate housewives

be patient cuz i'm really new at this be patient
i'm just so sensitive, what's the story
i want the headline, what's the story
i'll be on the news tonight

i think it's about a desperate housewife taking a bank hostage, possibly because she only wants to be heard and be on the evening news.

I think it's about a housewife wanting to do something different from her everyday, predictable routine. Obviously, holding up people is exciting and unpredictable, and it gets your adrenaline pumping. She probably hasn't had many super exciting moments, or hasn't been paid much attention to. Her job is to clean, cook, take care of kids, etc., but she wants so much more than that. She wants attention, and she took it to the extreme by holding up people and getting on the news.

This song has the ability to get pretty stale, but holy holy hell at 1:50 where that buildup starts into the breakdown.. damn. that is one monster breakdown. like seriously. i think they should have just skipped the next twenty seconds after that ha it would have been much more awesome
