"The bird is here, and we are off to wherever those wings take us" is relating how we can take to the sky by airplanes to how we can leave the Earth into dreams. They are not nessecarily with each other. They are just dreaming about each other on the same night. "Relax your back and let the noise sing you to sleep in my arms" is relating to the airplane's engine sound and Adam's insomnia. The second stanza describes how they follow into the dream and the magical fantasy in the dreams are open and limitless. You can go anywhere you want in them. Just like Air Travel. "The silver beams (metaphor to dreams) are twirling and swirling throughout your dreams (dropping a clue) like air traffic streams."

It's funny, I read a book about a girl who loves flying who likes a boy whose dad is in the Airforce (not true), and how they fell in love. Perfect love song for the 'flying' couple.
The first paragraph describes a plane trip, idk what the next part is about. I was thinking maybe its about when they land, bit its hard to decipher
