Come On Over (Turn Me On) Lyrics

Like a thief
Crawling through the night
Like a drunk
Brawling in a fight
How she gonna know what is
Right from wrong

Come on over, turn me on

Sunday best
You're my favourite suit
You make the team
You're no substitute
I know baby I'm your
Favourite song, listen up babe

Come on over, turn me on

Is it any wonder
Is it any wonder
I lay awake all night
Is it any wonder
On a Sunday soon
I see the light

Tell me baby
Tell me pretty lies
See the spider
Been out catching flies
Will you leave me I know it
Won't be long before you

Come on over, turn me on

Is it any wonder
Is it any wonder
I lay awake all night
Is it any wonder
On a Sunday soon
I see the light

Like a blind man
Driving at the wheel
Like a hound dog
Scratching out a meal
You and I both know it
You belong

Come on over, turn me on

Cover art for Come On Over (Turn Me On) lyrics by Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan

Self-explanatory - it's about making a booty call. This song is insanely sexy. Isobel Campbell writes the best songs for Mark Lanegan.

My Interpretation

I agree with everything you said except maybe the 'booty call' part. That sounds so cheap and unfeeling. Just perhaps it's about being turned on when both people care about each other. (Although, the part about her not knowing wrong from right may indicate it is a mere booty call.) OK, I read through the lyrics again and the part where he's catching fies in his web indicates a booty call. Ahhhhh, so disappointing.
