Capitol Pill Lyrics

Doesn't matter that my eyes to go,
speech made slow,
speech made slow,
Doesn't matter that my late night call
came at all.
It came at all.

Doesn't matter that I don't impress
distinguished guests.
Distinguished guests.
I know I'm impossible cause I convinced myself
things are not possible with someone else.

You can be my silent type,
Baby, those pauses can make my night.
Please keep your sweet lips closed tight.

Doesn't matter how I sign my name,
It don't mean fame.
It don't mean fame.
Doesn't matter that a girl might smile,
it's worth a try.
It's worth a try.

I know I'm impossible cause I convinced myself
that things are not possible with someone else.

And you can be my silent type,
baby, those pauses can make my night.
Please keep your sweet lips closed tight.

Oooh.
Oh, yeah.

And you can be my silent type,
baby, those pauses can make my night.
And you can be my silent type,
Baby, those pauses can make my night.
Sign my name,
sign my name,
sign my name,
sign my name,
I don't impress,
I don't impress,
I don't impress,
I don't impress.

I love this song so much...it's about those comfortable silences, knowing that it is not necessary to impress this person, and that it is not important to them that you impress anyone else. Favorite line "I know I"m impossible cause I convinced myself things are not possible with someone else". It's absolutely beautiful.

Also, it may be about a troubled relationship in which the guy just wants his girlfriend to not talk, to let things be because he loves her so much. "PLease keep your sweet lips closed tight".

The last few lines confirm this "I don't impress, I don't impress, I don't impress, I don't impress."
