Silver Wings (Acoustic version) Lyrics
From tender years you took me for granted
(But still I deign to wander through your lungs)
While You were sleeping solemnly in your bed
(You're drapes were silver wings your shutter's flung)
I Drew the poison from the summer sting
(And eased the fire out of your fevered skin)
I Moved in you and stirred your soul to sing
(And if you let me I won't move again)
I've danced with sun lit strands of lover's hair
(And Formed the final words before your death)
I pitied you and piled your sails with air
(gave blessing when you rose upon my breath)
And after all of this, I am amazed
That I am cursed far more than I am praised
(But still I deign to wander through your lungs)
While You were sleeping solemnly in your bed
(You're drapes were silver wings your shutter's flung)
(And eased the fire out of your fevered skin)
I Moved in you and stirred your soul to sing
(And if you let me I won't move again)
(And Formed the final words before your death)
I pitied you and piled your sails with air
(gave blessing when you rose upon my breath)
That I am cursed far more than I am praised

MEANING;
i think its about Jesus talking about how he has blessed us, and how we use his name in vain. (thus the final verse, "And after all......I am praised")
or,
taking God for granted by only wanting God to do things for us, while he desires us to do things for him. I had to look up what 'deign' meant, and it means to lower your dignity to that of people lower than you, for example, a ridiculously rich man goes to dinner at McDonald's wearing an old, stained pair of pants and a ripped T-shirt, bringing a couple of poor hobos. a rich man wouldn't have reason to put himself in that kind of place with those kinds of people. Neither would God have reason to come down and have an intimate relationship with us corrupt human beings. he wants to come and be close to us, because he loves us and wants us to proclaim his name, and share the love he has for us with the people that don't know him. this explanation would give meaning to the verse saying "But still I deign to wander through your lungs". he wants his name to be said by you, or he wants us to talk about him. this would also give meaning to the verse "gave* blessing when you rose upon my breath", God blessing us when we proclaim is name, and our faith.
this is all guess-work. let me know what you think of it.
