She likes it better when you come in early,
She doesn't like it when you stay out late,
You hear the noise outside your window,
She's dangerous make no mistake,

So lock your doors
And take a breath,
Don't fall asleep prepar yourself,
She's not all there (not all there),
She's not all there,
She's right there.

Help me help me somebody save me,
I keep running she keeps on chasing,
Reminds me all the time; no matter where you go I'll always be watching you,
Help me help me somebody save me,
I keep running she keeps on chasing,
Reminds me all the time; not matter where you go I'll always be watching you.

This is the first time I let it show,
I should have never got personal,
The mood was set and the lights were on,
What do you think could ever...
I didn't know that she was normal when I caught her eye,
Because she's Mrs. Dr Jekyl and Mrs. Hyde,
And now her heart beats for me,
Blood runs colder,
Heart beats for me,
Blood runs colder.

Help me help me somebody save me,
I keep running she keeps on chasing,
Reminds me all the time; no matter where you go I'll always be watching you,
Help me help me somebody save me,
I keep running she keeps on chasing,
Reminds me all the time; not matter where you go I'll always be watching you.

Watching you.....

Help me help me somebody save me,
I keep running she keeps on chasing,
Reminds me all the time; no matter where you go I'll always be watching you,
Help me help me somebody save me,
I keep running she keeps on chasing,
Reminds me all the time; not matter where you go I'll always be watching you.

Help me Help me
(always be watching you)
Save me save me
(always be watching you)
Help me help me
(always be watching you)
No matter where you go I'll always be watching you

well, I think that it's about a girl he though he liked, but he realizes she's literally insane. "I should have never got personal...Beause she's spinning Dr. Jackyle and Mrs. Hyde" and now she's stalking him "Help me, help me, somebody save meI keep running, she keeps on chasing"

also, its possible she kills him at the end of the song. it doesnt show it here, but he goes "owww ow ow" a lot at the end.

This is such an amazing song! I love the chorus. Personally I think it is about a girl he's falling in love with and no matter how hard he tries he can't stop falling in love with her. She is in love with him too, but she won't let him go and she won't leave him alone. He knows that he is falling in too deep but he can't help himself. This song has such a catchy tune i love it :) lol

Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
