To me this is about a relationship that's coming to an end. The person who she's with is becoming someone else (In your eyes, once found ablazed Dark shadow dances free) but she still loves him for all the good memories (Ghost of your smile still haunting). She realizes that there's nothing she can do to save the relationship...there's no dialogue between them (So it's dead silent now), she just has to let go of him because their love is dying.
