Some People Lyrics
Some people kill for less
Some people find it hard to get dressed
Some people will
Ask how old I am
Some people livin' the life
Some people need more than a slice
But when it fades, when the glitter's gone
You know it, you owe it to yourself
I won't let it make you mad it's already crazy
Oh we're lonely one Mercedes down
The brighter lights & their smiles, their empty hands
Some people don't get much
Some people feel in their touch
With spirit worlds talking to you now
Some people just can't say
Some people just wanna play
They get a kick when it's all messed up
You know it, you owe it to yourself
I won't let it make you mad it's already crazy
(x2)
What you thought you'd lost was just mislaid
All the poems written in your skin
You know it, you owe it to yourself
I won't let it make you mad it's already crazy
(x2)
And what you thought you'd lost was just mislaid
And all the poems written in your skin
Some people find it hard to get dressed
Some people will
Ask how old I am
Some people need more than a slice
But when it fades, when the glitter's gone
I won't let it make you mad it's already crazy
The brighter lights & their smiles, their empty hands
Some people feel in their touch
With spirit worlds talking to you now
Some people just wanna play
They get a kick when it's all messed up
I won't let it make you mad it's already crazy
(x2)
All the poems written in your skin
I won't let it make you mad it's already crazy
(x2)
And all the poems written in your skin

Can't believe nobodys commented! Such an amazing song, one of the best of the album. I think it's about the fact that there are bad people out there that do bad things to you, but that you owe it to yourself to not them let you get mad. Simple but beautiful.
I think the problem with being an underage hitman, like in this song, is that you can't really get into bars, strip clubs, or other places that your target may be hiding or hanging out. I don't think the artists know much about being hitmen, or about killing people. They shouldn't write music if they don't know the subject matter. I am just saying.
Lol what are you talking about? You're taking the song way too literally.
It's actually 'Some people...well, ask how old I am' which is a reference to the fact Alison's never revealed her true age and doesn't like being asked in interviews.
i want this song played at my funeral.
I think this song is just like it sounds its about the differnt types of people. its like asking what the mona lisa means (its just a portrait) and btw goldfrapp was born in 66 making her 44 (and darn does she wear it well)
The chorus seems to be missing:
You know it, You owe it to yourself You won't let it make you mad It's already crazy
I always thought the first line was "Some people give for less"
