The Fear In Your Eyes Lyrics

Sound the alarms all eyes to the horizon
Prepare for war put down the fear in your eyes

We fight and die, bearing arms, free of fear
Our colors nailed to the mast

I may not make it back
But I'll make sure someone never forgets me (x2)

No regrets nothing left to loose
I may not make it back
This night is mine
So take a good last look at the blackened sky
Put down the fear in your eyes
I thought I'd never see this day

The time to fight is now
On to fight this war

I decide who will live and who will die
I decide who dies

No regrets nothing left to loose
I may not make it back
This night is mine
So take a good last look at the blackened sky
Put down the fear in your eyes
I thought I'd never see this day

I may not make it back
But I'll make sure someone
I may not make it back
But I'll make sure someone never forgets me

This night is mine (x8)

Just from my general knowledge of the Bible and the Christian Religion I would say that this song is about the final war between God's followers against Satan.

I think this song is refering to Armageddon (final battle) in Rev 16:14. "...they go out to the kings of the whole world to gather them together for the battle on the gread day of God Almighty." The song is about someone on the side of the Lord going into the final battle.

Or it can be about the battle for your soul. I decide who will live and who will die is referring to the parts of himself that he will kill and what he will keep.

My Interpretation

I believe it's talking about everyday battles, most specifically persecution

I think this song is about moments in everyday's life when God "put down the fear in our eyes". Moments that are very important for us, and we need bravery and strength when they're coming.

There's talk between God and Man I think:

"Sound the alarms all eyes to the horizon Prepare for war put down the fear in your eyes

We fight and die, bearing arms, free of fear Our colors nailed to the mast" - God leads Man to do the things that Man have to do.

"I may not make it back But I'll make sure someone never forgets me (x2)

No regrets nothing left to loose I may not make it back This night is mine" - Man's answer to God.

"So take a good last look at the blackened sky Put down the fear in your eyes" - God.

"I thought I'd never see this day" - Man.

This is how i see this song.

Lyrics are great,I haven't read something as good as this in a while.
