Apparently Damien Rice was going to write a song titled 'Closer' for the film of the same name. But it wasn't finished in time (they used Cold Water and The Blower's Daughter in the end), perhaps this is the song. Does anyone know where I can find this track?

what a great song. it's about a guy who just wants to go to a party, get drunk, and get laid, but the girl he finds at the party says she's got a boyfriend. so he just ups his aggression and tries harder and harder to win her over and let down her defenses for the night. it's evil, it's manipulative, it's short-sighted, and it's absolutely brilliant and beautiful. my favorite line is "you tell me your real name, i'll take you home, i'm gonna let your baby down." haha, just the image of him coming on so strong that she might give him a fake name or number, or that he'd come on too strong too many times before and he'd gotten many fake names before. you just get this picture of a big party with a bunch of drunk people. great song.

He wrote this song for the strip club scene of Closer but, as Jellings said, it wasn't finished in time so it didn't make it to the movie. He performed it live just once and I don't think we'll ever going to hear it again.
